Executive Director and
Director of Programs
Lori
Timson
(QA 1)
began working at the Deaf Service Center in 1998. She earned her Bachelor
of Arts in Educational Sign Language Interpreting from the
University of
South Florida in 2001. As the DSC
Director of Programs, Lori
schedules interpreting assignments, provides outreach presentations,
coordinates & teaches
American Sign Language classes, and provides
interpreting services.

Dianna Druding
is the
DSC Program Coordinator for the Florida Telecommunications Relay
equipment distribution and outreach program.

Staff Interpreter / Coordinator
Heidi Adams joined the DSC staff in August 2008 after
Heidi Adams (NIC Certified, QA 2) joined the DSC
staff in August 2008 after working for DSC as a contract interpreter.
Heidi moved to Florida in the winter of 2007 from Colorado Springs, CO.
Heidi earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal studies from
Bethel
College in 2004. Since graduation she has worked as an
interpreter in both educational and community settings. She also has
worked in the school system with autistic children.

Administrative Assistant
Cheryl Mackowski joined Deaf Service
Center at the beginning of October 2008 as the Administrative Assistant.
Cheryl comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the
Administrative/Management field. She is from a small town known as
Plattsburgh, located in upstate New York. She and her husband relocated to
the Fort Myers area in January 2008. She has an Associates Degree in
Applied Science and would like to continue her education in the business
related field. Cheryl is also a parent of a developmentally disabled son
who currently resides in a residential program in upstate New York. She
has been committed for over 25 years volunteering, working and advocating
for person’s with developmental disabilities and would like to continue
her involvement in the community.

Data Entry Clerk
and ASL Instructor
Lisa
Myhand
has been
involved with the Deaf Service Center for the past several years in many
roles - board member, volunteer, and currently as our Data Entry Clerk.
She was born in Titusville and grew up in Fort Myers. Lisa is a graduate
of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind
and was crowned homecoming
queen during her senior year. She graduated
Edison Community College in
2003 with her Associate of Science degree. Currently, Lisa is a student at
Florida Gulf Coast University.

Website Designer
Amy Frasu
(CI/CT, NIC Advanced,
BEI Advanced) joined the Deaf Service Center team in 2005. From her
home in Texas she designs the DSC
Website and Online Store.
Amy is a Florida native
and began interpreting in 1994. Her Bachelor of Arts degree is in Deaf
Education and Elementary Education from
Flagler College. After teaching
several years, she decided to return to interpreting full time. She later
moved to Washington, DC and graduated with honors from
Gallaudet
University with her Master of Arts degree in Interpretation. Amy has
experience interpreting in a variety of settings, including: medical
appointments, business meetings, conferences, video relay service,
theater, k-12 schools, undergraduate courses, and graduate courses.
